I don’t know about you, but I’ve spent just about every day of my adult life asking myself, what am I doing? Every day has been an exercise is reassuring myself that, yes, I deserve the things that I have. My path may not look like the next person’s, but it’s still a path that has taught me the things necessary to succeed in my endeavors.
Is success easy? Absolutely not! I haven’t even really succeeded, if I’m being 100% honest, but I have ticked some things off the list. Buy an apartment – check. Finance a car – check. Get comfortable going out alone – begrudgingly check.
Although it may not seem like I’ve done much of anything with my life, career-wise, because I’m an fairly underemployed, almost 30 year old woman, I’ve learned alot doing what little I have done, enough to qualify me to do more. It’s tough when you’ve been pigeon-holed due to a number of poor choices you’ve made, and now that you’re finally trying to get on track, you feel like you’ve missed the entrance to the freeway.
The thing is, though, there are a ton of entrances. You can take as many wrong turns as you want, but the way life works, if you put in the work, you can still make it to where you want to be, so don’t be fooled by the rocks I don’t got (see what I did there?), I have everything I need to get to where I’m going. So do you, friend!
